Taking a break from the at-home Halloween content to bring you what I think will be the last Disney dining review from our most recent trip! I’ve finally covered all the new table service places we tried. From Homecomin’ to Via Napoli, we had some seriously good meals on that trip! On one of the final days of our trip, we ate at Tony’s Town Square in Magic Kingdom. As far as all the meals we’ve ever eaten in Disney World, this one falls about in the middle of the pack. But we still think it’s a good choice and kind of an underrated spot! You’ll want to try this hidden gem Magic Kingdom restaurant on your next Disney trip!

I call this a “hidden gem” Magic Kingdom restaurant because, for the longest time, I didn’t realize there was even a restaurant here! Tony’s Town Square is immediately on the right when you enter Magic Kingdom in the Town Square Theater. You can also meet Mickey in this building normally, when characters are meeting, and there’s a little gift shop in there!

The Atmosphere

Tony’s Town Square is a vaguely Lady & the Tramp themed Italian restaurant. I say vaguely because I think if you didn’t know to look for the Lady & the Tramp theming, you’d probably miss it completely. There is a fountain with a statue of Lady and Tramp at the entrance of the dining room, but overall the theming here has nothing on Be Our Guest or some other Magic Kingdom restaurants. If you’re looking for a super-immersive restaurant, this isn’t gonna be it.

But if you’re looking for a nice sit-down Italian meal in some nice cold air conditioning, then this will be perfect. 😊 There’s a beautiful section of the dining room that’s surrounded by windows and has lots of greenery hanging from the ceiling and a great view of the front area of Magic Kingdom. The inner dining area has a black and white checkered floor and lots of dark woodwork that adds a lot of character. It’s certainly cozy!

Unfortunately, however, I don’t think this restaurant is set up to seat large parties. For our group of ten, we had to split into two separate reservations. When we checked in we asked if we could all be seated together, but they were unable to accommodate our request. We ended up seated really far apart from each other, which was quite a bummer.

But our server was absolutely fantastic, as Disney World servers tend to be. 😊 He laughed and joked with us a lot and recommended his favorites on the menu. We also spent very little time waiting. We got seated right away, and our food came out very quickly. I was really happy with the quality of service at this Magic Kingdom restaurant!

The Food

Our food was excellent. The menu is pretty straightforward Italian fare with spaghetti, fettuccine alfredo, chicken parmesan, etc. If you like Olive Garden or similar restaurants, then you will love Tony’s Town Square!

They start you off with bread and olive oil. Yum! Most of us ordered Italian favorites like chicken fettuccini alfredo or ravioli, which were all very good! My mom, however, went for the fish of the day (pictured above). It was a salmon and polenta dish with a topping of spinach and roasted red peppers. My mom maintains that this was her favorite meal of the whole trip! So, highly recommend the special if it appeals to you!

We were all really happy to get off our feet and into some air conditioning and enjoy some delicious food. This restaurant is also located right at the front of Magic Kingdom, so if you know you’re going to want to take a midday break, I’d recommend booking this for a late lunch. After your meal, you can head straight out of the park.

Overall, I give this restaurant 4/5 stars. I recommend it for those that love Italian food and want to be sure to get a solid meal break in their park day.
