When I caught a glimpse of these cute Halloween treats on Pinterest from a blog called House of Wildflowers, I knew they would be perfect for our Hocus Pocus movie night! These particular zombie pretzels are inspired by Billy Butcherson, but these would also make a great snack for a Zombies movie night (which is also on my Disney+ Halloween Movie Marathon list)! The best part about this DIY treat is they can be made to look like any zombie or monster you like!

Ingredients
ingredients for zombie halloween pretzels: a bag of white vanilla flavored melting wafers, a packet of chocodrizzler, a jar of chocolate sprinkles, a tube of black writing gel, gel food coloring, and a bag of pretzel rods

These are really simple, no-bake Halloween treats, but you will need a few specific things. I used pretzel rods, vanilla-flavored white melting wafers, and neon-green food coloring for the base. Plus melting milk chocolate, black decorating gel, chocolate sprinkles, and candy eyes to make the face. I used the same candy eyes that I used on my Hocus Pocus Spellbook Brownies, which I got at Hobby Lobby. I also found that “Chocodrizzler” packet at Hobby Lobby, but melted chocolate chips would work just as well!

How To
  1. Pour some white melting wafers into a tall, skinnyish, microwave-safe container and melt in the microwave according to package directions. I used the entire bag of melting wafers, and it made about 20–25 pretzels.
  2. Dip each pretzel into the melted chocolate about halfway and then lay on wax paper. Pop into the fridge for 5–10 minutes to harden.
  3. To make the face, I attached two candy eyes with melted chocolate. Then I drizzled some melted chocolate (spread with a butter knife if needed) and added some chocolate sprinkles for hair.
  4. Lastly, I drew a straight horizontal line for the mouth and added 3 vertical chocolate sprinkles for the “stitches” in Billy’s mouth.
  5. Transfer decorated pretzels to a plate or serving board and enjoy!

We love chocolate or white dipped pretzels in our house, and these were an absolute hit! Like I mentioned above, I made about 20–25 pretzels, and they were gone.
