If your family is anything like ours, then pizza is necessary. No matter where we go on vacation, we always search for good pizza! Disney has a lot of options—from “cafeteria” style personal pizzas at PizzeRizzo in Hollywood Studios (which I honestly like!) to build your own at Blaze Pizza in Disney Springs. Any pizza is good pizza, right? But we think we’ve officially found our favorite pizza in Disney World!

I’ve wanted to try Via Napoli since we spotted it at the back of the Italy pavilion on our first WDW trip! At the time we were getting pizza at the window to the left of the Via Napoli building (which is also really good!). I falsely assumed that the pizza from the widow would be the same as the pizza they serve inside Via Napoli. Um, I didn’t know what I was missing!

The Restaurant

Via Napoli is an authentic Italian restaurant in the Italy pavilion at Epcot. They serve more than just pizza, including pasta dishes, salads, and some great appetizers. But they are best known for their authentic Neopolitan pizza. I mean, just check out those wood-fired pizza ovens! I love them.

The pizza ovens are named after three active volcanoes in Italy—Stromboli, Vesuvio, and Etna (you can see the names on the wall above their heads!). Via Napoli pizzas are thin-crust, made with flour imported from Italy and water sourced from a spring similar to Italy’s Campania region. They also use San Marzano tomatoes for their red sauce and fresh mozzarella cheese. They sure don’t cut corners on these pizzas!

Via Napoli is a table service restaurant, so it’s highly recommended that you make an advanced dining reservation. In my experience, it’s not too hard to get an ADR here.

The Food

My family is Italian, and we love Italian food, especially pizza. I was so excited when Via Napoli made the cut for our ADRs for our big family trip in March 2021. There were ten of us total—eight adults and two kids. We ordered from the kids’ menu for both kiddos, and three large pizzas for the rest of us. It took us a bit, but we decided on the margherita, quattro formaggi, and piccante pizzas (pictured below, clockwise).

They also have a size larger than the pizzas pictured above called Mezzo Metro, but we decided to go with larges so we could try more different ones. We also ordered I think two pitchers of Peroni draft, which is an Italian beer.

And omg we absolutely crushed everything we ordered. It was so good! Absolutely some of the best pizza I’ve ever had, not just at Disney World! Everyone in our group loved it and agreed that it was one of the best meals of our whole trip!

The Service

The service here was absolutely phenomenal. When we booked our ADR, there wasn’t anything available for a group of 10. I’m not sure if this was because of COVID precautions or if it’s just harder to get a reservation for a larger group. So we booked our ADR in two groups of five. When we checked in, we told the host that we were all together and asked if we could sit near each other. They were so excited to seat us at their largest table so we could all sit together!

Our waitress was from Italy and recommended all her favorites to us. She convinced us to order the Peroni instead of Bud Light or something, and we were all glad we did! Our food came out fast and piping hot, and our drinks never ran dry. I will note, that we did not ask her to split the check, so I’m not sure how that goes for a big party if you share pizzas. We just had one person pay the check and then we Venmo-ed that person—we did that all week, and it worked great!

Overall

This was my second favorite meal of our entire trip (a review on my favorite meal coming soon!), and we would definitely eat here again as soon as possible. I think this is also a great kid-friendly restaurant option in Epcot. Their kids’ menu includes a personal pizza, spaghetti, and chicken tenders, so there’s certainly something to please even picky eaters! It also has a really relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere.

This is definitely one of our new favorite Disney restaurants, and we highly recommend it!
