There are SO MANY food options at Disney World. From fun-themed restaurants in the parks to signature resort dining, the options are truly endless! I feel like even if I lived in Orlando and had the money to eat at Disney World every single day, I still would not be able to try everything. But I am here to tell you: DO NOT SLEEP ON DISNEY SPRINGS. Some of our favorite restaurants in Disney are located at Disney Springs. We frequent quick-service places like D-Luxe Burger and Chicken Guy, especially on non-park days of our vacation. But the table-service offerings at Disney Springs are vast and outstanding. From Iron Chef-owned restaurants like Morimoto Asia to fresh seafood offerings at The Boathouse, there’s definitely no shortage of delicious options! But the best meal at Disney World has to be at Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’!

If you like comfort food, southern cooking, or moonshine, add Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ to your must-do Disney World list!

The Food

Homecomin’ is all about comfort food and moonshine! If you love southern cooking, then you will love their menu. We started with drinks and appetizers, obviously. I ordered the Sweet Tea Shine, which was dangerously good. My husband and brother-in-law split a moonshine flight and raved about how good the different flavors of moonshine were. (And they also felt it for the rest of the night. ๐Ÿ˜‚) We also split an order of the Church Lady Deviled Eggs amongst the table, and they were really good too.

We were there in the evening, so we were ordering off the dinner menu. I ordered the Fried Chicken and Donuts, which was the absolute best choice I could have made. The sauce that comes with this (I think it’s the hot honey?) is one of the best things I’ve ever had. The whole thing was so delicious, I couldn’t stop eating it even after I was full. ๐Ÿ˜‚ I dream about this fried chicken and donuts. I can’t wait to get back here so I can eat it again.

Around the rest of our table, we also tried the classic Art’s Famous Fried Chicken, the Country Fried Steak, the Chopped Pork Barbeque Plate, the Harvest Salad, and the Fried Chicken Sandwich. As for sides, most of us went with Creamy Mashed Potatoes or Momma’s Mac and Cheese, both of which were incredible. Everything was just so goodโ€”I seriously don’t think you could go wrong no matter what you order here.

The kids’ menu is small but crowd-pleasing. Liam got the kids’ fish sticks with mac & cheese and peas & carrots (pictured above), and he was quite happy with it.

I really wanted to try the Shine Cake for dessert, but I was honestly too full to move after my fried chicken and donuts. Next time!

The Service

The atmosphere of Homecomin’ is really down-to-earth and casual. I mean, it’s called Homecomin’ (yes, with the apostrophe instead of the g). I was thrilled when we were able to get a reservation for our entire party of 10โ€”that’s more difficult to find at WDW than you’d think! When we arrived, we were immediately seated at a big round table in the corner, which was perfect.

Our waitress was absolutely outstanding. She made us laugh and recommended some delicious menu items (most notably the Church Lady Deviled Eggs). Even though there were 10 of us, our drinks never ran dry and our food came out quite quickly. We honestly had such a great overall experience, which is what really made this our best meal at Disney World.

10/10 Overall

We absolutely loved this meal and can’t wait to eat here again on our next trip. Have you tried Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’? What’s been your best meal at Disney World? Let me know in the comments belowโ€”I’d love to hear about it!
