Hey, friends! Are you fully settled into Christmas mode yet?? We have been for a while (we put up the tree the first weekend in November 😅), but we just put the finishing touches on our decorations and put up our outside lights last weekend, so I thought I’d share a look around our space! I love Disney Christmas decorations—Disney magic and Christmas magic are the perfect pair! But I don’t want it to look like Disney threw up in my living room, you know? Plus I, unfortunately, don’t have an unlimited budget to spend on Christmas decorations, so I have to be strategic about what I buy to add to our decor each year.

In this post, I’ll show you around our Disney Christmas decorations. Some things I already had, and a few I picked up this year! I try to only get a few new things each year. Korey and my’s first Christmas together we could hardly afford enough ornaments to cover our tree! Now that I’ve been picking up a few things each year for the past 11 years, we are able to fully Christmas-ify our house! And we’ve been adding Disney touches since we started taking yearly trips to Walt Disney World. It makes me so happy! I love to decorate early so I can enjoy it for as long as possible!

Ornaments

Ornaments are an easy (and usually affordable!) way to add a touch of Disney magic to your Christmas decor. I love to purchase ornaments as souvenirs when we go to Disney World, so we have a handful (or two) of Disney magic for our tree. I’m very picky about Christmas ornaments though, and I’ve been known to take forever in the Christmas store at Disney Springs just to pick out one ornament. 🙈 The one below is one of my favorites—I love the vintage vibe! I bought this one in 2019, but here’s a similar one from this year!

And even though we didn’t make it to Disney World in 2020, I couldn’t resist ordering this castle ornament from shopDisney. It’s so pretty! And it lights up! I’ve been really into anything that glows this year. ✨

I mentioned this in my Halloween decorating post, but this is the first year we’ve had two large bookcases in our living room. I love decorating them! And thankfully I was able to use a lot of stuff I already had, though I did pick up a couple of new things this year. My favorite is this Fa La La print from one of my favorite Disney small shops—Happiest Day Co. It doesn’t look like she has this particular print available right now, but she does have some other cute options! All her stuff is so unique and beautiful! 😍

I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I’m not the biggest fan of all the Mickey and Minnie Gingerbread merch that came out this year. (I did a round-up of the shopDisney Christmas merch for 2020 if you want to check it out here.) It’s cute, but it’s just not my style. I did pick up this Mickey and Minnie snowglobe though when it was one of those special-price-with-purchase sales. I wasn’t thrilled it said 2020 on it, but we might as well celebrate this dumpster fire of a year, right? Plus I started this blog this year, so it somehow felt appropriate!

I also picked up the light-up star nativity scene at my local Marshalls. It was a great price, and like I said I’ve been really into anything that glows so I couldn’t pass it up! Also, I love decorating bookshelves like this because I can just fill any empty space with books! My budget is thankful. 😉

Tabletop

The last thing I picked up this year was this beautiful Disney Christmas coffee table tray! I’ve just gotten into having a festive tray on my coffee table in the past few months. I usually put a candle and maybe a candy dish in it, and it also holds the remote and maybe a video game controller or two. I love it because if we decide to play a board game or do something else on the coffee table, I can just move the entire tray off and everything stays together. So easy!

I got this tray from Glitter on Mainstreet on Etsy. (It looks like she still has a few available!) A lot of Christmas trays I found were upwards of $50, but I snagged this one when it was on sale for $17!

This is also the first year I’ve had a piano to decorate, and I absolutely love it! I didn’t bring a lot of Disney touches into this area, but there’s always next year! 😄 Having this space decorated for the past couple of months has made me want to practice playing, too. Huge plus!

I love the way our space feels when it’s decorated for Christmas! It’s so cozy! (I just have to include the below photo because it was SNOWING the day I took it, and it really makes the perfect aesthetic! 😂) We don’t have a fireplace or a mantle, so we hang our stockings from the TV stand. Liam’s is the stormtrooper one (of course!), which I think we got from Target a couple of years ago. I also love the little sign on the bottom right that says, “I wish it could be Christmas everyday.” It reminds me of Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas! 😊

Next year my goal is to create a beautiful Christmas tablescape for our dining room table. Right now it’s completely bare! If you have any advice for decorating a dining room table, send it my way!

Merry Christmas!

I hope you enjoyed this little photo tour of our Disney Christmas decorations (and non-Disney ones, too)! The Disney touches just make me really happy, and I think we could all use a little more happiness in 2020. ☺️

I’d love it if you’d spread the word on Pinterest by pinning the below photo! ❤️
